The fish vary daily depending on what has been landed. Typically though they can consist of haddock, cod, whiting, plaice, lemon sole and gurnards.

Derek has been involved with narrowboats since 1976 via his career as a teacher in Secondary Education and of late in Post-16 Further Education. In June 1976, teaching in a school in Staffordshire, he was invited by the then Head of History, to accompany him on a 7 day canal adventure aimed at providing a new learning experience and environment for youngsters with special educational needs.
Since then Derek has; run annual canal adventures for young people with disabilities and additional needs, played an active role within The Truman Narrowboat Charity Trust Organisation (Walsall) catering for young people and community groups, and now hopes to make a success of providing memorable canal trips and holidays aboard his purpose built hotel and hospitality charter narrowboat.
